Judy Smith has her B.S. in Education from The Ohio State University. In her early career, she worked at Mercy Hospital in Chicago as a Recreational Therapist where she served individuals with spinal cord injuries, brain injuries and stroke.
Smith went on to get her M.A. in Social Science Administration from Case Western Reserve University. She worked as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation where she counseled patients first diagnosed with cancer. She co facilitated I Can Cope and cancer education groups and provided support and counseling for oncology nurses. She also worked in the emergency room providing crisis intervention for trauma victims.
Smith has worked as a Manufacturer’s Representative Co-owner S. E. Smith and Associates and Falcon Products, LLC where she worked in a sales capacity managing a 5 state sales territory in the gas and water industry. Responsible for 20 million dollars in yearly sales.
She is the owner of a Holistic Psychotherapy practice, Judy Smith Wellness counseling, where they offer hypnosis, Emotional Freedom tapping, meditation and yoga nidra. Smith is a Co – founder and facilitator of Women’s Empowering Health Group.
She is a certified RYT 500 from Yoga Mix in Neptune Beach. She teaches weekly corporate yoga to Landstar, and cardiac yoga in direct referral from Beaches Baptist Cardiac Rehab. Smith has her Christina Phipps Foundation certification to teach Karma yoga to individuals touched by cancer and is certified in Pre Natal Yoga, Cardiac Yoga, Chair Yoga, and Senior yoga. Currently working privately in yoga for stress and anxiety and yoga for trauma and PTSD.
Both my counseling and yoga practices help people find their charge in life with the goal of sharing their wisdom and voice, healing mind body and spirit and empowering individuals to make informed decisions concerning their daily living. Emphasis on mindfulness , connection and living in the moment give individuals the ability to release anxiety and stress as they learn to live life as their authentic self.
